Mulethi, is another name for liquorice.
PROMOTES DIGESTION - Reduces the formation of gas in the alimentary canal, thus reducing flatulence, bloating. It also increases appetite, reduces indigestion and promotes better absorption of nutrients in the body higher concentration of fibre in the root powder. It also acts as a mild laxative.

HERBAL TEA: Take a sauce pan and add 2 cups of water. Add licorice root powder and sliced ginger pieces. Bring to a boil and simmer for 15 mins. Now pour this mixture to a mesh strainer and strain it. Cool this herbal tea and add honey. Mix very well.

Also contraindicated in hypertonia, severe kidney insufficiency, cholecystitis, oedema, and congestive heart failure.
